Emotional Release

Feel to Heal

Many women have learned how to function, cope, and keep going but not how to feel safely. From an early age, we were often taught to suppress emotions that felt inconvenient, uncomfortable, or “too much.” Anger was discouraged. Sadness was minimised. Fear was dismissed. Shame was hidden.

So we learned to hold everything inside. Over time, what is not felt does not disappear — it settles in the body.

The Body Remembers What the Mind Tries to Forget

The body is not working against you. It is communicating with you.

When emotions are repeatedly suppressed, the nervous system stays in a state of protection. Muscles tighten, breath shortens, digestion weakens, hormones fluctuate, and energy becomes stuck.

This is why emotional holding often shows up as physical symptoms — not because the body is broken, but because it has been carrying too much for too long.

Healing begins when we listen.

Feel to Heal

True healing does not come from bypassing emotions or “staying positive.” It comes from allowing.

In this work, we create safety for emotions to be felt, expressed, and released — without overwhelm, force, or re-traumatisation. You are gently guided to sit with sensations and emotions in the body, letting them move at a pace your nervous system can handle.

Feeling is not weakness.
It is the body completing what it could not at the time.

Repressed Emotions & Women’s Health

Many physical symptoms commonly experienced by women have strong emotional and nervous-system roots. While every woman is unique, some frequent patterns include:

Repressed anger
Often held in the jaw, neck, shoulders, solar plexus, and pelvis.
May show up as:

  • jaw clenching or grinding

  • TMJ, headaches, neck pain

  • irritability, resentment, exhaustion

  • liver or digestive imbalances

Anger is a healthy boundary emotion. When it cannot be expressed, it turns inward.

PMS & hormonal imbalance
Often linked to suppressed emotions, self-silencing, and chronic stress.
May include:

  • mood swings

  • irritability or rage before menstruation

  • cramps, bloating, breast tenderness

  • feeling emotionally overwhelmed or shut down

The menstrual cycle often amplifies what has been held back all month.

Anxiety & nervous system dysregulation
Frequently connected to unprocessed fear, grief, or long-term emotional suppression.
May show up as:

  • racing thoughts

  • tight chest or throat

  • shallow breathing

  • hyper-vigilance or fatigue

Digestive issues & bloating
Common when emotions are “swallowed” rather than expressed — especially anger, shame, or fear.

These symptoms are not random.
They are messages.

Emotional Release in My Work

Emotional release in this space is not about dramatic catharsis or reliving trauma.

It is gentle, embodied, and nervous-system led.

In our sessions, we work with:

  • awareness of sensations in the body

  • emotions stored in muscles, breath, and organs

  • the nervous system’s need for safety

  • subconscious emotional patterns

As emotions are acknowledged and allowed to move, the body often responds with relief, spaciousness, and increased vitality.

Many women describe feeling lighter, calmer, more present, and more connected to themselves after sessions.

Why Sitting With Emotions Changes Everything

When you stop fighting your emotions, they stop fighting your body.

Sitting with emotions — with support — teaches the nervous system that it is safe to feel. This alone can begin to soften long-held tension and reduce physical symptoms.

Healing does not happen by forcing release.
It happens when the body feels supported enough to let go.

This Work Is For You If…

  • you feel emotionally overwhelmed or shut down

  • you struggle with anxiety, tension, or chronic stress

  • you clench your jaw or hold anger inside

  • you experience PMS or hormonal symptoms

  • you feel disconnected from your body

  • you sense your symptoms have an emotional root

  • you are tired of pushing through and want a gentler way

A Gentle Invitation

Your emotions are not the problem.
